Matthias Ballestrem is an architect and Professor of Fundamentals of Architecture at the Technische Universität Dortmund. He has held various teaching positions, including at Cornell University, TU Berlin, and HCU Hamburg. He was the founding Program Director of the Experimental Fellowship Program at Bauhaus Earth and co-Managing director of Experimental Foundation. His research focuses on design-driven research methodologies, experimental design, space perception and spatial complexity. Ballestrem is on Experimental Foundation’s Advisory Board.
