An interdisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and professionals from the social sciences, political science, economics, and law, baukreisel emerged from years of hands-on experimentation, and a shared ambition to rethink construction practice.

Its focus is where transformation becomes tangible – existing building stock, material cycles, and the processes connecting them – developing strategies and projects that treat reuse not as an exception but as a viable default; one that is ecologically, economically, and socially sound. The current members of baukreisel are Karoline Aigner, Ginevra Agosti, Ioan Brumer, Luca Diefenbacher, Linus Dufner, Gloria Hinterleitner, Emily Edwards Kaninia, Alexandra Kolyadina, Jonas Läufer, Jannik Oslender, Kimberly Rahn, Conrad Risch, Christian Roth, Jonathan Schmalöer, Hanna Schmitt, Antonia Stolz, and Anastasia Tsioptsia. They are an Experimental Fellow.
